A PREVIEW OF SUMMER

I'm more of a fall/spring, "in between", season type of person. The cool, crisp (but not frigid) air and the warm (but not sweltering) days are my favorite. However, even though I may put autumn and spring higher up on my list, I still get excited for the summertime....long days and warm nights, what's not to love?

So, today's post is a preview of summer- The smells, the sights, and tastes of the season!

QUESADILLAS with BLACK BEAN & CORN SALSA

I have to share these pictures because I've very impressed with myself (not for the photos but for the cooking skills, well the photos aren't so bad either ;).  I made the most delicious quesadilla yesterday with leftover salsa, which I also made, and if you don't remember the salsa posting from this summer, click here

I love this stuff because it's so versatile. It's great on chicken, just with chips, and out of this world in a quesadilla. Oh, and I think it'd be good in an omelet too!

This was just made with whole wheat tortillas,  shredded cheese, avocado and the salsa and obviously these photos were taken before I put the other tortilla on top, but I had to show off the colors.

So good!

and the post cooking shot....

SAN FRANCISCO (Part Four....and I'm done)

Ok so this is it - the final San Francisco trip pics. With so many images, I could keep going, but I've decided that I need to move on to other things! So with that said, this entry is sort of a "hodge podge" of photos from my visit...some flowers, food, architecture, etc.

Oh and on a side note, some people have asked me how they can purchase prints (woohoo!), and the only info I have at the moment is that I'm WORKING ON IT!! I'm trying to come up with the simplest way to handle the processing, etc. Will keep you all posted, but I do hope to have this figured out before the holidays.

Enjoy!

This next one is of these handmade shoes that were for sale everywhereee in Chinatown.

Yum

Great flowers at the Farmer's Market!

I love these two buildings next to each other, the colors along with the brick!

Some strange melons...I think from South America. They were selling fast!

I love how soft and dreamy this next flower looks. You would think that I enhanced it to look like that but I did nothing but snap the picture :)

Everyone seemed to enjoy the Black Bean & Corn Salsa recipe posting a few weeks back, so I thought I would add another similer entry, plus I love food and product shots!
