MY BLOG IS ONE!

Personal It's officially been one year since my very first blog post!
I'm surprised it didn’t slip by, because it certainly snuck up - crazy how quickly a year goes!
Although, I have spent countless-frustrated hours in front of the computer making my blog my own (which is still the case ;), I am happy for what it has brought me: an outlet to be creative, and showcase my passion for photography.
In the coming months and over this next year, you can expect some changes around here. I will be revamping the look and feel and will be transferring my portfolio to a unique website dedicated solely to my best work. My blog will continue to be the home for up-to-date photos, work, ideas, etc. I also hope to set aside some extra time for more frequent postings.
Thank you to all of my blog readers! Hopefully, you have enjoyed my posts as much as I've enjoyed sharing them with you.
In celebration, I've decided to do a little giveaway... just a little something. Here's the deal: I'll be giving away an 8x10 print- All you need to do is leave me a comment below and next Wednesday, 7/28 I will be picking a winner at random. Be sure to include your email address when leaving your comment - It will not be viewable by others, promise.
Thanks for participating & have a wonderful weekend!!

Tara is the lucky winner of a free 8x10 print!! Thank you for leaving me a comment and participating.
LESLIE & DAVID - MARRIED!
Tuesday, July 13, 2010
Weddings She has been attending grad school in Chicago and he has been oversees in the Army -- making for long months of separation. Reuniting just a week before their wedding day, it was not only about celebrating two people madly in love, but also about two people finally getting a chance to start a life together.
It was a pleasure spending the day with both you and your families. I want to not only thank Leslie, but her mother Diane for trusting me to capture one of the most memorable days of Leslie and David's life.

This was Leslie's great aunts. I'm going to call it a vintage clutch (for lack of a better word)...

There's something about this next photo that I love, maybe just because it's fun, and I love the candid- in- between- shots. Perhaps the mother of the bride (to the right, I know, she could have been a bridesmaid :) ) was a bit jealous she wasn't in the photo?! haha

L&D wanted to take a few shots after the ceremony at the historic New Bedford public library. When I saw the American flag hanging high, I knew it was a must have addition to the photos especially given it was July 4th weekend!

I love this next one of the first dance...

This photo just makes me happy :)

David, my help for the day took this next one..

L&D thank you for letting me squeeze in these next few- I told you it would be worth it ;)

You guys were wonderful to work with. I wish you both the very best!
KATHRYN & DONNY - MARRIED! (Part Two)
Friday, July 2, 2010
Weddings And now, as promised I share part two of Kathryn and Donny's wedding at Willowdale Estate.
It's much harder than I ever imagined to narrow it down and choose the photos I'd like to share on my blog, especially since it's a sneak peak for the couple, into reliving their big day. There are just so many details and great little moments captured that I wish I could share with everyone, but it's just not possible.
So, without further ado here are a few that I'd like to share - Enjoy!

Very often the best moments captured are the ones in between shots, like this next one...

I LOVE details!

Kathryn and Donny's dances with their parents were both so sweet! Donny's mother got very emotional at first but then had some laughs as you can see.
I had to include a photo of a photo :) of Donny as a little boy. So cute.

Love this next one of Kathryn and her Dad....

Donny and his best man after his toast - I think they hugged for a good 3 mins ;)

p.s the comment problem is fixed, so leave me some love!
